Manage all work associated with the various production processes on a day-to-day basis. Fully trained across a range of jobs / skills and is flexible, interchangeable and mobile within the Production Department.
1. Principle Responsibilities:
1.1 Operate within Plant G.M.P regulations and guidelines at all times in accordance with EU GMP Volume 4 Part 1 and ISO13485.
1.2 Comply with all S.O.P’s in place relevant to your work activities
1.3 Comply with the requirements of the Quality Management System and relevant standards.
1.4 Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards.
1.5 Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximise product reliability, and minimise cost.
1.6 Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency, using drafting tools and computer.
1.7 Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities.
1.8 Communicate with management and user personnel to develop production and design standards.
1.9 Estimate production cost and effect of product design changes for management review, action, and control.
1.10 Formulate sampling procedures and designs and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
1.11 Study operations sequence, material flow, functional statements, organisation charts, and project information to determine worker functions and responsibilities.
1.12 Direct workers engaged in product measurement, inspection, and testing activities to ensure quality control and reliability.
1.13 Implement methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and defective or damaged parts, and assess cost and responsibility.
1.14 Evaluate precision and accuracy of production and testing equipment and engineering drawings to formulate corrective action plan.
1.15 Analyse statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product.
1.16 Develop manufacturing methods, labor utilisation standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilisation.
1.17 Recommend methods for improving utilisation of personnel, material, and utilities.
1.18 Plan and establish sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products and to promote efficient utilisation.
1.19 Complete production reports.
1.20 Regulate and alter workflow schedules according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times to expedite production operations.
2 Education / Experience:
2.1 Educated to degree level or equivalent within a relevant discipline. (i.e. Industrial Engineering, ).
2.2 A recognised supervisory management qualification.
2.3 Experience in a supervisory role preferably within a fast paced manufacturing environment.
2.4 Computer literate especially on Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
