Our client is hiring a Embedded C Developer for their Limerick operation.

We seek software engineers who have a flair for Linux programming and who can contribute to the development of software for our clients products. We seek applications from engineering graduates who have experience in Linux programming be it in industry or college to Masters level plus additional industry experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Code real-time comms & networking software in C, C++ and Linux shell scripting languages.
  • Code user interface and device management software in a mix of HTML, PHP and SQL.
  • Ensure high run-time performance of software, e.g. profile the code and optimise it.
  • Travel to client sites to integrate, test and commission software.
  • Review and test your software to meet defined functional and quality expectations.
Essential Skills:

  • Honours Degree in Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a similar discipline .
  • 3-4 years proven experience in Linux, C, C++ and Linux shell script programming.
  • Proven knowledge of networking protocols, e.g. TCP/IP, UDP, SIP, RTP and Ethernet.
  • Linux device driver and kernel-mode programming.
