Solvency II Specialist, reference 6713, Dublin, 12 month contract with view to permanency, Salary to €70k plus benefits package

Our client, a leading financial services firm, is actively recruiting for a Qualified Accountant to join their Solvency II team in theirDublinoffice. This exciting opportunity will give a qualified and experienced Financial Reporting Accountant significant involvement in the review of Solvency II requirements, identifying gaps, agreeing and implementing solutions to meet Central Bank requirements, delivering solutions and ensuring processes are consistently embedded across their local businesses.

You will contribute towards the development of accounting and reporting practices with regard to external reporting, provide consistent guidance and assistance with the implementation of changes to reporting environment and processes, ensure that all local businesses report and deliver in a way that complies with Solvency II reporting work stream (Pillar 3) and provide ad-hoc advice to local businesses on accounting and regulatory matters

Key Requirements:

  • Professional level accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent) with 1 to 2 years PQE
  • Life Assurance industry experience is essential
  • A strong background in the production of statutory accounts and annual Central Bank returns, quarterly management accounts and the development of financial controls across the Group Finance function.
  • Previous exposure to Solvency II projects, a distinct advantage
  • Significant experience in the completion of statutory financial accounting, regulatory returns and central bank returns


Personality:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a strong desire and motivation on your Solvency II technical and practical knowledge, ability to work on your own initiative and within a team environment and experience of presentation and influence at senior management level.
