Our client is a leading provider of life sciences, legal, financial and corporate language solutions for global companies. A proven leader with more than 30 years of experience, they offer a wide range of language solutions including translation and localization services. An opportunity has now arisen for a Project Manager with conversational German language skills to join their team.

As a Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of the company’s translation projects, ensuring client expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
Providing exceptional service, quality and cost efficiency on every project, you will develop and maintain relationships within a client-driven production environment.
In this key position, you will enjoy a varied role in which you will liaise with both German and English speaking clients, determining complete project specifications. You will also consult clients on workflow processes and take ownership of the client’s experiences.
Whilst predominantly office based, on occasion you will be required to travel to client sites worldwide.
Your duties will include:
- Ensuring the time and costs of each project are managed effectively
- Leading project specific ‘kick-off’ meetings
- Managing project margins, ensuring profitability throughout the production process
- Preparing management information reports and essential data for job invoicing
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:
- Experience as a project manager within the translation services industry
- Conversational German language skills, in addition to English
- Demonstrable experience of negotiating with suppliers to control project costs
- A proven track record of managing a project from conception through to completion
As a Project Manager, you’ll have good written and verbal communication skills.
Whilst not essential, a degree or project management qualification would be beneficial to your application. Experience of software localization would be a distinct advantage.
